Banded Stators Manufacturing Facility

Rolls-Royce Corporation

Shiel Sexton was design-builder on the fast-track renovation of a Rolls-Royce manufacturing facility that produces the banded stator components for aircraft engines. The scope of work included selective demolition and repurposing of an existing building for manufacturing of jet-engine components. Updates to the existing warehouse included structural slabs, steel reinforcement, a 10,000 SF office build-out, 86,000 SF of manufacturing facility finishes, and new dock equipment/doors.

The manufacturing facility required new MEP infrastructure to support furnaces, milling operations, sheet metal forming, parts cleaning, and painting operations. Mechanical infrastructure included compressed air systems, process water, process waste, and HVAC systems to condition the entire facility. New primary electrical service and power distribution systems were included for Rolls-Royce equipment.
