McCourtney Research Complex

This research complex project included a 217,000 SF laboratory building and the construction of a 3,000 linear foot underground utility tunnel. The three-story McCourtney Hall has 100,000 SF of open wet lab research and team spaces. It includes two wings and a central collaborative core for faculty offices and conference rooms. About 40,000 SF of laboratory and team space were left unassigned to facilitate new hires. The building also contains core facilities like NMR, cold rooms, hot room, etc. Common space areas include restrooms, a cafe, formal and informal meeting spaces, and seminar space. The research complex included new graduate and post graduate research labs.
