As part of the Stories Behind the Spectacle campaign, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is undergoing a complete transformation to improve and amplify the visitor experience with an increase in museum space and enhanced presentations.
The project includes a new entrance with a beautiful statement statue to welcome visitors. The Gasoline Alley exhibit details the history of racing with artifacts and former racecars. An immersive exhibit displays historic race day highlights. A mezzanine looks down onto the previous winners of the Indy 500 and the BorgWarner trophy. The Qualifying exhibit features a mix of interactive games and antiques to round out a fascinating experience that will gather into the creation a world-class museum experience.
