Ball State University North Residential Neighborhood
Ball State University
Shiel Sexton was construction manager of Ball State University’s North Residential Neighborhood. The $74 million project consists of a new 500-bed residence hall and a dining facility. The hall primarily houses students in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors. There is also a 65,000 SF micro-restaurant-style dining hall with room for 750 students and a private upstairs dining area that holds 125. The dining hall finished March 2020. The project was completed in multiple phases with the relocation of McKinley Avenue serving as the first phase. This project replaced LaFollete Hall which Shiel Sexton demolished for Ball State University under a separate contract.
