Indianapolis Marriott

White Lodging Services, Corp

Shiel Sexton was construction manager of the extensive $25 million renovation of the 19-story Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. The overhaul included all guest rooms, the lobby, meeting spaces, restaurants and other common spaces. The renovation added two new restaurants, and increased the guest room count from 622 up to 650. The renovation modernized the current hotel space, as well as re-conceptualized the current eateries that currently occupy the outer edges of the hotel.

Along with the renovation, Marriott implemented many green hotel practices like water conserving showers and toilets, guestroom keys from recycled materials, motion sensor and timed light switches, and tissue paper made from 20%-30% recycled fiber in an effort to be environmentally responsible.
