Indiana Convention Center Phase V Expansion

ISCBA

Shiel Sexton managed the $275 million, 665,000 SF expansion of the Indiana Convention Center. The expansion features 62,000 SF of new meeting room space, 255,000 SF of new exhibit space, 103,000 SF of pre-function and registration space and an enclosed connector between the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The scope of this large scale addition and renovation project began with the demolition and implosion of the RCA Dome football facility. Shiel Sexton was responsible for all master budgeting, buy-out and bidding, master scheduling, project safety, and extensive coordination of manpower and materials from preconstruction through occupancy of the facility. The convention center expansion was completed in January 2011 and achieved a remarkable 30% M/WBE participation, surpassing the original goal of 20% participation.
