The Lexington Building
1402 Associates llc
The Lexington Building, formerly known as the Van Ausdall and Farrar building, was once home to the Lexington Automobile Company. Shiel Sexton Real Estate acquired the vacant building on a speculative basis and revitalized the historic structure into modern office space. The building received extensive restoration work on both the interior and exterior. The interior renovation work achieved LEED® Gold-CI for commercial interiors. The development provided prime office space directly on the busy Meridian Street corridor with exceptional views of downtown Indianapolis. The project utilized a rehabilitation tax credit and a new market tax credit as part of the financing for the project. Shiel Sexton performed the acquisition, development, construction, leasing, and property management on the project.
